So, but it gets me to my next point.....PJ came into town because he & J bought Dad's car and he came up to drive it back home. We had a fun but short weekend together.
Beautiful color everywhere:
Old Man's Cave:
But, we're home now, relaxed and with the energy to see us through the holiday season. And, it's time to replace the Halloween candy we ate for the little goblins on Friday. And, it's time to prepare the garden and the yard for winter.
My roses are blooming like crazy.....sort of screaming out "hey, don't forget me!"
As if !

So much going on...........
AND, I'm suffering my own special "seasonal dysfunction": insomnia. Which isn't very fun at all.
And, the day has come........we're heading for the mountains; right now! (Really; Lude's like: "come on Mary Ann, let's go!)
I'll call you when I get back.

Except maybe these on your first birthday.......
30 years old?
Are you sure?
I think I'm going to check the birth certificate to be sure........Do we really have to do this????
I'm finding it hard to find the words..............
I had a birthday during the time that Grandma was very sick and in a card to me she wrote something that will stay with me forever. Mom expressed her love for her children as most women did in the fifties: she hugged and kissed; she fed and clothed and she loved their father. We knew our mother (and father) loved us very much. It was a wonderful gift and I felt and continue to feel very loved by my parents.
In her card to me she wrote: "....it was the happiest day of my life when they placed my little girl in my arms....."
It may have been 30 years ago that you were placed in my arms, but I can still vividly recall that the day you were born was truly, one of the happiest days of my life. I hope that I have made you feel loved because there is no greater gift then the love of your parents and your sister. We will always love you forever.
And of course, I get out of having to buy you a birthday present because you're not here!!!! NAH, NAH.
HEY, HEY girl.............Happy B-Day..............talk to Cody - he's got a surprise for you!
