Dear Lord,

Please let me prove to you that winning the lottery will not spoil me!

Congratulations, Paul & Jen.

L's going down to Marietta today to attend the wedding of his "great-newphew", Paul.
Paul's marrying a sweet girl with an even sweeter little boy!

Hope your day is glorious and we wish you all the best.

Dad and I are off to Little Rock today to spend the long weekend with my brother and sister-in-law. We, Dad especially, look forward to this trip each year - it seems to coincide with the changing of the seasons where we leave Cleveland in cool, post-winter weather....spend 5 days in the lovely 70ish Little Rock weather and return home to spring where everything is in bloom.

My brother says they are predicting rain there this, we've been there in just about all types of weather: rain, blistering sun, cool, humid.......they've got it all!

Each year, however, I find that when I go away for this particular weekend, the garden is calling to me. Let me rephrase that....the garden is just plain screaming at me!!! It seems that it gets so mad, that when I return, it has sprouted everything that needs staking and is already falling over. It is the perfect weekend of the springtime when I should be getting out all of the garden stuff. The clematis is ALREADY blooming and when I get back it will be laying on the ground because the obelisk is in the garage attic. And, when I return, the window screens need to be put in because, well, it's just plain time!

Thank the Lord.....let the bar-b-que'n commence!!!
Hee-Haw......Little Rock, here we come!
HEY, kClare..............hang in there..............don't be so hard on yourself..........and never, ever forget that I love you!
Remember earlier in the month - or maybe last month, I reported that the Robins had arrived and I was freaked out about how furiously they were digging in the mulch and gathering up their little bits of things to make their nest???

Well, while we weren't looking, they crafted a very fine nest in the crook of our patio awning!

NOW what are we going to do? We can't just open the awning and dump all the little egglets out onto the concrete.....can we? (No, really, I'm ask can we?)

So, now we have to sit on the nest and wait until we hear the little pitter-patter of robin feet and as soon as they fly the coop, we have to bring in the wrecking crew and bring that house down! Feels like Extreme Home Makeover!!! All except for the "move that bus" part!

Anyway......anyone know the protocol on the amount of time you can allow a bird family to call your awning home? I need to consult my landlord handbook!
Saturday, I hosted SCRAPPY DAY 7.5 !

A day of scrapbooking between Scrappy Day 7 and Scrappy Day 8 (which is in June!!!). Scrappy Day 7.5 was an 8-hour, casual, just ordering pizza and scrapbooking kind of day. It was a small, intimate, cozy (thanks, Rick) group but everyone got lots done.

If you are a Scrappy Day attender, this is just a notice that I might change the date of the June event (the original date was June 12th). I am waiting to hear from the "Sure Cuts a Lot" people in Columbus. They're going to come and do a workshop for us - for those with Cricuts that are interested in participating. As well, I might invite Cricut owners that aren't attending Scrappy Day 8 to come just for the workshop part.

If you were at Scrappy Day 7.5 last Saturday, you got to see my Sure Cuts a Lot (SCAL) program in motion......every day I find more and more fun things to do with it.

So, watch for that email with updated information about Scrappy Day 8. Scrappy Day 8 will be a bar-b-que....we'll hope for good weather that day so the kitchen warrior doesn't have to stand out in the rain!!!!!

And, I have no pictures to show you because I was so busy scrapbooking, I forgot to take any!

Oh, the shame of it all!

And, L's boss was in town to do some CB business, so L worked his kitchen magic to serve us up a wonderful meal of stuffed tenderloins, fresh creamed spinach, mashed potatoes and for dessert, Chocolate Carnival Melting Pots!

YUM....What a kitchen warrior.......
Easter was a beautiful day. The days leading up to Easter were exceptional weather-wise. Easter Sunday was a little chilly, but great.

We had our traditional Easter breakfast with the Kemock's and Dad joined us again this year. Later in the afternoon, Lude and I went to see the movie, Bounty Hunter, which was funny. Just "ha-ha funny"!
I got this picture of McKeely digging into her bunny cookie!
Happy Post Easter....let the summer begin, I say!
So.....carrying on with the catching up......

At the end of March I did some workshops at the Memories Scrapbooking Expo in Columbus. It's held at this time each year at one of the exposition buildings at the State Fairgrounds. My scrappin' cousin and I attended a couple of years ago and found it to be interesting and from the viewpoint of being a participant, on the ground floor level as far as difficulty goes. So, this year, I applied to be a workshop presenter and all four of my workshop ideas were accepted.

So, needless to say, I began freaking out in February, but pulled it all together quickly. I have to say that I didn't even break a sweat when my computer crashed the night before I was to leave for Columbus for the 2-day event! (All is better now, thank you techno-husband!)

I went to Columbus early on Friday and my cousin came down after work on Friday when we met for a WONDERFUL dinner (thank you so much!!!) and afterwards, she helped me put a few more kits together in our hotel room for some late registrations to workshops.

Saturday was a full day of shopping and workshops for both of us. Here are a couple of pictures from that event. We had a great time and I look forward to hopefully doing it again next year, with a few minor tweaks here and there!

Catching up... AGAIN............I have no excuses this time!!!

I just returned from visiting kClare in Bloom/Norm and it was a wonderful trip. We FINALLY got to watch an episode of PROJECT RUNWAY together!!! Here we are at M&C's watching Project Runway.
We shopped and ate lots! And the show was fantastic. I liked CANDIDE a lot better than I thought I would. I looked at the movie, ordered the music CD and also read a couple books about the show before I went because I'd never heard of it before. At the time, I though that it looked interesting.....but that was about it! It was great! And, how about those WIGS????

Here is kClare at work in the shop
While walking around campus, kClare took me backstage and I got to see lots of the crew working on many different projects. She took me to the "Props Room" which is where (among MANY other things) I got this shot of a very vintage golf set! I was in awe at the amount of items from my own lifetime that are NOW considered vintage! What's up with that? When I left Cleveland on Thursday it was so cold that I was afraid I'd packed all the wrong clothes. Well, I got a bit of a sunburn while walking around campus. This is kClare and one of her roommates as we walked around campus!

On Saturday I was amazed to finally uncover the secret that's many, many centuries old. "Where does Jesus Live?" Who'd have thought he lived near Kath?

We had dinner on Saturday night at a lovely Irish Pub in Normal with other students and parents. That was fun. (Again, take a look at the lovely sunshine!!! YAY)

It's the end of the year for kClare and she has a lot on her plate. But, she's always been a member of the clean plate club, so I have no fear that she will get through this year.

Thanks for a fantastic time, Kath! I love you and miss you, too! We're very proud of you!
