CROPICANA.......maybe!

Had dinner with my "club" (we still don't have a name, even though at EVERY outing we discuss it!) on Monday night. We are a group of about 10 women whose children went to grade school together or played ball or whatever...we've remained friends and have for the last few years tried to get together for dinner about twice a year. NOW? well, we're getting together every other month. We aren't all able to make it each time, but we like to try places we've never been before.

This time, it was CROPICANA down on Whiskey Island. I feel like such a "restaurant snob" when I say, it just wasn't my cuppa tea! Maybe had I known what it was like before I got there, it would have been different.

We had a beautiful day for sitting outside and got to enjoy a GREAT sunset over the water.

While updating everyone's information, I came to learn that a girl in our group, was born on the same day, the same year at the same hospital!!!!! How is that possible that we didn't know that? I wish my mother were alive so that I could talk to her about it. Who knows, maybe our mothers became friends.......

Here's a few pictures I snapped down at CROPICANA....

NEXT? Christmas Brunch at 100th Bomber Group! YUM!

While having our dinner on the patio of California Pizza Kitchen at Legacy Village, REVOLUTION PIE played on the stage in the green space beside us. I liked their sound and I liked that they didn't try to dress up like the BEATLES when they don't even look like them. We had wonderful front row seats for their concert......we still like 1964 The Tribute best. The members of 1964 even LOOK like the BEATLES.

It was a wonderfully relaxing evening.

So the story is........

We set out some decorative pumpkins last year in the fall, an appropriate time I'd say. Well, one thing led to another and before I knew it, the snow was covering them. It didn't take long, but when I finally picked them up, the seeds all fell out. I picked up what I could, but obviously, not them all!

Most times, I can't get my stuff to grow even when I PLANT it!

Lude refused to rip the rooted pumpkins out....we're pro-pumpkin over here on the Oval!
The results......Lude's going to be selling pumpkins by the side of the road this year!
It wouldn't have happened if I tried!

The Cuyahoga County Fair

Boy...it's been forever since we were at the Fair. I'm not sure what attracted us to it this year, but the idea came up and we went. We were really taking our chances because today was "bring a non-perishable food donation and get in for a dollar" day, and well, it might be crowded! We were surprised at how few people were there. We were only there for about two hours but it was enough to get our fill of fair! The wonderful smell of fair food....you just can't get that unless you're at the Fair! There were a lot less animals than I remember when we used to take the kids and one of the good things about going on opening night is that the barns are still fresh! If that's possible.

I took my little camera with me and I miss the quality of pictures I get with our new one.

But, it's all there....at the Fair.
The snake lady at the Palace of Illusions
The beautiful animals
The crafts and food entries
The rides
The Fair Food....

It's all there...returning you to what were just memories.
