Our Christmas was the best ever this past year!  It's hard to believe that the month of December is over!  We were involved in so much, but yet we managed to do all the special things we love to do.

It's been over a year of planning for kClare and Louisa's union and we couldn't be prouder of them.  They planned the most wonderful day we could ever imagine.

You'll just have to look at the scrapbook (when it's done) to catch all the pictures.....but here are a few.....

This was taken at the rehearsal....Kudos to them for wanting a very elegant but casual rehearsal and meal afterwards. I love the shoes!  Especially the aqua ones!  kClare made the shirts with the date at the hem and the hearts on the back.

This picture was taken in the basement of the church as all of them were getting ready.  Louisa left the room to attend to something and kClare had signs for each attendant that spelled out "Will You Marry Me, Louisa?"  As a surprise gift, she purchased Louisa a solitaire ring and really caught her off guard when she came back into the room.

This was taken at the church during a time when (who could pick the moment when the best things were said, so many great words were spoken!) I had a hard time keeping it together.  And, as you can see in the background, Vicki was shedding a little tear as well!

Maid of Honor, sister Jessica Joy making her entrance at the reception!

The girls at yet another happy moment of the night.

The girls making their grand entrance into the reception....RARING TO ROAR!

For their first dance, kClare surprised Louisa by having her brother, Ian who is a concert bassist, play his bass and Jessica sing.  She sang SOMETING, by the Beatles and in this picture, Louisa is sobbing into kClare's shoulder!  It's such an endearing photograph even though you can't even see either of their faces.

We went downtown Chicago for a New Year's Eve celebration and returned to the hotel for more shenanigans....for those of us that weren't sick, that is!  The girls could not wait until the wedding was over to get their hair cut!

The girls vacationed in the Dominican Republic and Disneyworld and are now back in Chicago beginning their life together!

The dust (and I do mean dust after all the attention our house did NOT get this past month) has finally settled on our whirlwind of a year!  And last night, we had one final holiday gathering with our neighbors and friends.  We usually get together before or during the Christmas holiday, but things have been hectic.  We always do have a lot of fun getting together with them.

I'll take mine shaken not stirred !

Happy New Year!
