She's definitely Dreamy

I've written about six posts (I can already tell this is about to be #7) about Easter, the Lenten Season, Facebook and giving up for Lent, but everything I wrote didn't work. So, suffice to say that I'm giving up Facebook for Lent - staying away from the time sucking craziness and focusing more on Lenten prayer and giving back instead of taking away. How does your Lenten sacrifice bring you truly closer to Christ. In what way does giving up pop, chips or chocolate connect you?

Once in awhile, we'll look at each other and say, "we're not buying each other anything for Valentine's Day, are we?" and with a sigh of relief, this year was one of those! We have tickets to Mardi Gras tonight and I know that I'm going to spend money at the auction and the games! The weather this morning would discourage even the bravest of souls, but when you're going scrapbooking, all bets are off! I got a lot done there. It's sort of like having a snow day from school or work and then going skiing!! Once Lude was gone to the college this morning, I left him a little Valentine that was more our type! I think I saw it on PINTEREST and thought, I could do that! So, here's the PINTEREST version, followed by what I was able to do! I am very pleased and he loved it! He's not a big "post it on facebook" person, but he right away wanted to post it......
But, later in the afternoon the snow calmed and even though there was a lot on the ground, it's Cleveland - we got this! We got ready for Mardi Gras and had a very good time with our friends. There was a photo booth which was a lot of fun. I did take home a basket that was put together by the Choir and contains lots of gift cards, wine and snacks!

I've just returned from an incredible vacation with my daughters!
While in Chicago at Christmas, it was discovered that I was going to possibly be in LA at the same time as kClare and Louisa! I tested the waters by saying "would you care if I was there the same time as you" and it was met with enthusiasm. After a little bit of thinking I quickly realized that all four of us would not fit in Jessica's LA apartment! It's cute, but not that big. So I decided that I would get a hotel and then one thing led to another and we started talking about cruises.
The rest is history!
So, over the next few posts, I'll post more pictures. I want to wait until I can get the pictures from the girls so I can incorporate them, but they're busy.....so I'll be patient!
But I couldn't resist one of these early creations.....(again, you can click on it to make it larger!)
Watch for future posts that tell the store of our incredible 5 days at sea!

Today, I spent the day at the NORTH COAST FEIS tabulating for them.
It has been too difficult to have Saturdays off (or else a Saturday to myself) while working, but now that I'm retired, I wanted to help Cathy out and do what I could. It was a lot of fun and I got to see Joe and Brigid from Feisworx! This morning, before going to the feis, I was having my coffee I played my "games" and it was such a surprise to get a message from Judy that she'd be at the Feis today! So, all in all, it was a great day! There were about 925 competitors and the grade levels finished up around 3 but we were there until after 5 tabulating the championships!
Lude and I were able to have dinner with Judy and it was a wonderful evening!
