This past weekend was Feis weekend and it was a lot of fun.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE the job I do for the Feis, but I
HATE, HATE, HATE the last two weeks.  A little stressful.

But, come Feis day when everything is done and ready, I'm
good with it.  It brings my family together which I like!
I'm pleased that my family is interested in keeping alive
the Irish dancing traditions.  It's one thing to dance, have
a fancy dress and wig, travel and everything that goes with
the glamour side of Irish dance, but without all the hardworking
people of the Feis committee, there really would be nothing
for the dancers.  Sure, they'd still know how to dance, but if we didn't
give up all our time and energy to put these gigs on,
I think it would be a completely different world.
So, don't just SAY you're an Irish dancer...
Give back....give up your time like someone
gave up for you.

And, on Feis weekend, we always get together with
family to have a big meal.  Sometimes one or two of
us are missing, but this is the first time since Dad passed
that all 12 of us have been together.  Yes, that's right!  12!

Here's a 2-page layout from our dinner on Friday night!

Just want to give a big ole shout out to the Cavaliers!

It's no big surprise to anyone that we aren't a big sport
family, but we do love to get on
board when our teams are doing well.
We'll even WATCH the games!

It was fun being in Chicago for two of the Bulls-vs-Cavs
series and happy they came out on top.
Now they've defeated Atlanta in a huge sweep!

They have a week off before they begin their series
 against the Houston Rockets!

Game 1 is Thursday, June  4 at Houston at 9:00 PM

So, go CAVS....we're ALL IN in our house!

Here are some pages from my recent visit to Chicago.

Heading back to Chicago for Mother's Day......siked!

My friend Sue and I took our paint brushes and went to do some ceramics!
I purchased a bowl for guacamole in Mexico last year and I went to find a matching chip bowl this year and couldn't find it.  I decided to make my own.....we'll see how crazy that idea was.
It's super expensive (not in numbers, but in numbers for what you're getting and for A CHIP BOWL!)
But, I'm going for it.  We enjoyed it and plan to go back and buy/paint more stuff we will sell at a garage sale next year!!!

I can no longer see you with my eyes,
or touch you with my hands.
But, I hold you in my heart forever!

Thanks for being a great Mother!

I love this time of year....although, I always remember what an
avid gardener that I worked with, once said, "anyone can have a nice
looking garden in spring!  Take a look at it in August and then say
you have a nice garden!"   That's why I keep it simple!  I enjoy
the colors and the fragrances.
